Personality:
Zezili's most prominent trait is silence. She has not spoken a word since the death of her parents. This was not too much of an issue, because she was able to 'speak' to her brother through an elaborate language consisting of hand sign, body language, and facial expression. With the translator no longer around, she often gets frustrated while communicating with others, because they don't have the patience to try to understand her. These feelings of frustration, resentment, and disappointment are usually channeled into killing titans and intense training sessions. If allowed an outlet, she is generally well tempered. When sparring partners are not available, she has been known to sneak away or attempt to stowaway on Survey Corps expeditions.
The Survey Corps is where she feels most at home. Away from the feeling of being in a cage, especially after spending so much time outside the walls. It is not a secret that she hates being on the wall instead of outside it, and many Garrison soldiers have picked up on it. However, she is wise enough to keep that opinion to herself. She still has friends inside the Survey Corps and meets them to catch up. However, since her transfer, the relationships have become more distant.
Feelings of guilt sometimes catch up to her in the night, sending nightmares to interrupt her sleep. Being mute prevents the screams from coming out, which Zezili is extremely thankful for. She would rather others not know and take out her frustrations on titans. So much so that she is always seen smiling. For people she trusts she is fiercely loyal and will put her life on the life to protect them. For everyone else, she tends to be more reserved until they have proven themselves of being more than livestock.
History:
Zezili hails from a small village in Wall Maria with her twin brother, Ailill. The two of them relied on each other to survive from the age of ten. Their father died during a Survey Corps expedition, and their mother died not long after that from a terminal illness. The girl took their deaths hard began talking less and less until she stopped altogether. At twelve years old, Zezili joined the military already what route she would take. Every generation of her family had been members of the Survey Corps, so there was no need to compete for the Top 10. With exceptional skills with the 3D Maneuver Gear and fighting skills, she maintained a steady rank of 11.
The best two years of her life were spent in the Survey Corps. She was allowed freedom outside the walls and was given permission to use the 3D Gear whenever she needed (wanted). Then, during an encounter with an irregular Titan in an expedition, she and her brother tried to save a comrade about to be eaten. Her brother ended up being eaten instead and the comrade later died from his injuries. Zezili was almost completely blinded in her left eye, and was permanently transferred to the Garrison. She reported that her injury was only a scratch and even now has not informed anyone of how limiting her sight has become.
Rank in the army: Garrison (Ex-Survey Corps)
Allies: Most of the Survey Corps
Admires: Eren
Dislikes:
Enemies: Titans
Sample Post:
The dreams were back, plaguing her sleep with bloodied faces and silent screams. She could see their faces. Most of them faded quickly, the two stayed. The first was looking to the side, as if staring at something in the distance. It's eyes were vacant, but Zezili felt no affection for it. In fact, she wanted to strangle the corpse. She wanted to pray to the ridiculous 'Wall God' to bring it back so she could kill it again. The other face was more familiar and hadn't changed at all. Unlike the first one, this one stared right at her. She held it's gaze until the heartache was too strong.
She abruptly turned and began walking the length of the wall. She was running away, it was true. However, the sun would be rising within a few hours, and the noise of soldiers reporting for duty would chase off her nightmares for at least another day. Footsteps up ahead drew her out of her thoughts and watched as another Garrison soldier on patrol came toward her. Another idiot stuck guarding a pile of rubble in the middle of the night. Zezili didn't know who she felt more sorry for; them or herself.
