The basic plotline for Attack on Titan (for those of you new to the fandom) is as follows.
Several hundred years ago, the gigantic race known as Titans appeared from nowhere and began wiping out humanity by eating the humans. The humans valiantly fought back, but eventually were forced to retreat behind the walls of their last stronghold where they remained in peace for a hundred years. One fateful day, a especially large titan tore down the outer wall of the outer-most part of the stronghold, and allowed other titans in to feast on the flesh of the prey inside. Fleeing from the titans, our main hero Eren and his adopted sister Mikasa, along with their friend escaped in a boat to the inner walls of the stronghold after witnessing Eren's mother being eaten by a titan. A "armored titan" (mutant titan with very thick skin) managed to break through the 1st wall of humanity's last resort, and everyone who was not dead was forced to flee into the second wall of the stronghold.
Peace is over. We. Are. Livestock.
Its time to fight back. Humans are not cattle, and the titans will soon learn. The hunters have become the hunted.
